9 days of consultation, so that all Air France staff can express their opinion on the proposed pay agreement to end the strikes

Since 22 February 2018, Air France has faced 11 days of strike action over pay demands, whose overall financial impact is estimated at close to 300 million euros.

Following the completion of the negotiations, and to put an end to the conflict, on 16 April Air France management drafted a final multi-year pay proposal ensuring a 7% wage increase over 4 years, in addition to the individual increases.

This agreement, based on a “growth pact for the future”, open to signature until Friday 20 April at midday, did not receive the majority signatures required.

After several proposals to find a compromise and faced with a deadlock situation, Air France Chairman Jean-Marc Janaillac has decided to consult all Air France staff by asking them the following question:

To ensure a positive outcome to the ongoing conflict, are you in favour of the pay agreement proposed on 16 April 2018?

This consultation will be launched on Thursday 26 April 2018 at 10 am and will end on Friday 4 May 2018 at 6 pm.

It will be sent to all employees with an Air France work contract* and its result will be announced on Friday 4 May 2018, at the end of the voting period.

This anonymous consultation, with no legal implications, will take place according to the principle of a single college (one employee, one vote). It will be conducted by a professional specialized in corporate electronic voting whose operations are regulated by law, under the supervision of a bailiff.
