50 years ago, the Boeing 737 made its maiden flight


On 9 april 1967, the first of six Boeing 737-100 prototypes took off for the very first time, piloted by Boeing test pilots Brian Wygle (who would also the co-pilot on the maiden Boeing 747 flight on 9 February 1969) and Lew Wallick.
