Yesterday, tour operator Corendon welcomed its 250,000th passenger since the official launch of Maastricht Aachen Airport. On board the flight to Corfu, the happy passenger was treated with champagne and cake. Additionally, PR manager and spokesperson Audrey Denkelaar offered her a travel check to a winter sun destination of her choice.

Thanks to its convenient location, free parking for Corendon passengers and short queues, more and more Belgian passengers are travelling via the airport,” Corendon added, proudly announcing: “we already transported nearly 100,000 Belgian passengers from this airport.

In the first months of this year, the airport transported 65 percent more passengers compared to previous year. This winter, Corendon flies daily to sunny destinations like Egypt, Gran Canaria and Tenerife. Last winter, the airline started flying to Turkey and Gambia.
