On 19 April, Emirates Airlines will send one of its flagship Airbus A380 aircraft to Brussels Airport. The largest commercial aircraft in the world is coming for a one-off operation to test the infrastructure and the newly erected A380 gate.

In February 2017 the two-year old aircraft was painted in Real Madrid colours.

It is not the first time that an Emirates A380 touches down on Belgian soil: already in September 2015, an A380 visited Brussels Airport to celebrate the first anniversary of its Dubai – Brussels route. In 2010, Lufthansa brought a visit to Belgium with one of their A380s.

Emirates has the largest A380 fleet in the world. The double-decker aircraft has private suites in first class, a nice business class and extra spacious seats in economy class.

The other Emirates flight to Brussels with flight numbers EK181 and EK182 is still a Boeing 777-300ER.
