Emirates and SriLankan Airlines have established a reciprocal interline partnership to enhance connectivity for their passengers. This agreement allows travellers to access new destinations on both airlines’ networks via Colombo and Dubai, all while using a single ticket and benefiting from seamless baggage transfers.

Starting immediately, Emirates passengers can choose from 15 regional destinations operated by SriLankan Airlines via Colombo. This includes two new Indian destinations (Madurai and Tiruchirapally) and Gan Island in the Maldives, with the convenience of a generous baggage policy and hassle-free baggage check-through. The network also covers various Far East and South Asian destinations.

SriLankan Airlines passengers gain access to Emirates’ global network, connecting to 15 cities beyond Dubai across the Middle East, Africa, Russia, and the US. This partnership offers premium travel experiences and benefits to SriLankan customers flying to various international cities.

Travel itineraries can be booked through both airlines’ websites and travel agencies.

Emirates has been serving Sri Lanka since 1986 and currently offers multiple daily flights to Colombo, including a service via Malé. Additionally, Emirates is the only international carrier offering First Class services to the country.

Travellers to the US using Emirates and SriLankan interline tickets should note that they must clear their baggage with US Customs at their first point of entry into the country.
