Qatar Airways Cargo has announced a new partnership with Xiamen Airlines, marking the first time a Chinese airline will operate non-stop passenger flights between Mainland China and Qatar. This collaboration will provide Qatar Airways Cargo with additional belly cargo capacity to and from Mainland China.
As part of this cooperation, Xiamen Airlines will commence daily flights between Beijing’s Daxing International Airport and Doha’s Hamad International Airport starting on October 20, 2023. Additionally, two weekly flights will operate between Xiamen and Doha, beginning on October 31, 2023.
These flights will connect Doha with Beijing and Xiamen, offering more than 100 tonnes of cargo capacity on each route. The Beijing-Doha route will be served by a Boeing 787-9 aircraft, while the Xiamen-Doha-Xiamen service will use a Boeing 787-8.
