On 18 and 19 October, an ASEM (*) summit is scheduled at Brussels, Belgium. The ASEM summit will bring together heads of state or government of 51 European and Asian countries, representatives of the European Union and the Secretary General of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
European Council President Donald Tusk will chair the summit. European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogehrini, will also represent the EU at the summit.
Among others, president Moon Jae-in (South Korea), Prime ministers Shinzo Abe (Japan), Li Keqiang (China) and Dmitry Medvedev (Russia) will be present.
