In agreement with the Chief Compliance Officer at Siemens AG, Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH filed criminal charges on account of suspected fraud on 12 August 2015.
Background: FBB discovered irregularities within the framework of the regular auditing process for construction services whereupon it called in the company’s Compliance Department. The subsequent internal audit by the FBB Compliance Officer revealed indications that FBB had in fact been billed for services not rendered and that these bills had been paid. The public prosecutor’s office in Cottbus has commenced analysis of the facts.
