Last Sunday (24 March), Transavia flight HV6902 between Dubai International, Burgas and Amsterdam Schiphol operated by a Boeing 737-8K2 (PH-HSK) was cancelled due to technical problems.

The cancellations was due to a hydraulic issue on the aircraft, repairing took more time than expected. Indeed, 190 passengers were stuck in Dubai for more than 72 hours. On the delay, the airline said: “For a long time we were unable to estimate our departure time. We were not able to inform our passengers by SMS or email due to a software glitch.

The passengers are now expecting to head back to Amsterdam Schiphol today (27 March). Why the airline didn’t deploy another aircraft to pick up the stranded passengers or why the airline didn’t rebook passengers on other carriers is currently unknown.
