In October Warsaw airport has handled 21 percent more passengers than in the same period of last year. It is also the biggest percentage increase in all of the record 2016 year. Chopin Airport last month was visited by more than 1.1 million passengers.
This year’s October is the best in the history of the airport, the eighteenth consecutive record month and the twenty-fifth month of continuous growth.
In total, from January to October Chopin Airport has handled 10.834 thousand people, 11.6 percent more than in the same period of 2015. In domestic traffic 1.1 million passengers have travelled to and from Warsaw Chopin Airport (an increase of 11.9 percent) and in international traffic – 9.7 million (an increase of 11.6 percent).
