Redevco and Etex have decided to move into the “PassPort” building, built by Codic, at Brussels Airport. This means that this building, with its breathtaking views over the airport runways, will have five prestigious tenants: KPMG, Microsoft, Tribes, Redevco, and Etex. The building has been 100% let before its delivery.
Redevco, a commercial property specialist, and the building materials group Etex have both taken fixed-term 9-year leases on 1,855m2 offices.
Lionel Groetaers, the Etex Head of Corporate Communications: “For Etex, as an international company, having its headquarters on a highly accessible site was essential. With regular flights, frequent public transport services, and ample covered car parks, Brussels Airport has many advantages for both Etex staff and visitors. This new building also provides its occupants with comfortable working temperatures and acoustics and plenty of natural light, while offering collaborative workspaces.”
Kristof Restiau, Managing Director of Redevco: “We are relocating to PassPort to accentuate our changed and flatter structure regarding the way in which we collaborate, not only within the Belgian team but also with our colleagues in other countries and our investors. Moreover, we will significantly improve mobility in both commuting and the movements of an important part of the team around our properties.”
It is most unusual for a building to be 100% let before its delivery, but the intrinsic qualities of the building and its situation were crucial factors for this choice. The businesses coming here are making an excellent choice in terms of strategy, thanks to all the surrounding services which meet present-day business needs.
The arrival of these newcomers confirms the attraction of Brussels Airport for the business world and the Belgian economy. Commercialisation has been carried out directly with Redevco and, in the case of Etex, through the intermediary of CBRE.
