Wizz Air announces new routes from four European cities to Agadir, Morocco

WIZZ AIR ANNOUNCES TWO NEW SUNNY ROUTES FROM POLAND TO MORROCO

Wizz Air today announced two new Poland routes, which will connect Katowice and Wroclaw with Agadir in Morocco. The newest WIZZ services will commence on 2 November and will be operated weekly during the winter season. Seats on the routes are already on sale and can be booked at wizzair.com or via the free WIZZ mobile app from only PLN 129 *, which includes a free hand luggage allowance of up to 55x40x23cm maximum dimensions.

Agadir is located in Southern Morocco, on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean. The city boasts 300 days of sunshine a year and offers spacious sandy beaches to its visitors, who can also explore the unspoiled nature visiting several national parks near the city. Since June, WIZZ already operates an Agadir route from its Warsaw base with two weekly flights.

Today’s announcement once again underlines Wizz Air’s commitment to Polish customers. WIZZ has 9 million seats on sale on its Polish routes in 2017, which represents a 16% growth year over year. The airline’s Polish operations do not only provide affordable access at WIZZ’s lowest fares between Poland and the rest of Europe, but also stimulate the local job market in aviation and tourism sectors, supporting more than 5000 jobs** this year in associated industries throughout the country.

With the recently announced expansion of its Warsaw and Gdansk fleet, Wizz Air will have 24 based aircraft in Poland by the end of March 2018, employing more than 850 customer-oriented crew, who deliver excellent service on each WIZZ flight.

With its new Agadir services, Wizz Air now offers 155 low-fare routes from its eight Polish airports.

WIZZ AIR ANNOUNCES LONG AWAITED VILNIUS ROUTE TO AGADIR, MOROCCO

Wizz Air announced a new sunny route from Vilnius to Agadir in Morocco. The new service will commence on 1 November and will be operated weekly during the winter season. Seats on the new route can be booked at wizzair.com or via the free WIZZ mobile app from only €34.99*, which includes a free hand luggage allowance of up to 55x40x23cm maximum dimensions.

Agadir, WIZZ’s 25th destination from Vilnius, is located in Southern Morocco, on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean. The city boasts 300 days of sunshine a year and offers spacious sandy beaches to its visitors, who can also explore the unspoiled nature visiting several national parks near the city.

Besides Agadir, Wizz Air will also start flights later this year connecting the Lithuanian capital with two Polish cities, Gdansk and Warsaw. These routes will commence in September and December, respectively.

Wizz Air’s first Vilnius flight took off in 2011 and since then, the airline has become the leading carrier at Vilnius Airport. In the first 7 months of 2017, WIZZ carried 784,000 passengers on its low fare routes to and from Lithuania, which represents a 15% growth year over year.  Throughout the country, Wizz Air’s operations this year will support more than 900 jobs** in associated industries.

Wizz Air now offers 31 routes from its three Lithuanian airports, Vilnius, Kaunas and Palanga.

Wizz Air announced a new route from Budapest to Agadir in Morocco. The newest WIZZ service will commence on 31 October and be operated two times a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays.  Seats on the new route are already on sale and can be booked on wizzair.com from just HUF 8,990*, which includes a free hand luggage allowance of up to 55x40x23cm maximum dimensions.

Agadir, WIZZ’s 66 destination from Budapest, is located in Southern Morocco, on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean. The city boasts 300 days of sunshine a year and offers spacious sandy beaches to its visitors, who can also explore the unspoiled nature visiting several national parks near the city.

Following the recent commencement of 10 routes and the announcement of the Bordeaux, Saint Petersburg and Frankfurt services, Agadir is already the 14 destination the airline will start operating flights from Budapest to in 2017. The airline now connects the Hungarian capital with 66 cities across Europe and beyond, which makes its Budapest offer the most diverse one in the entire WIZZ network.

Being the hometown airline of Hungary, Wizz Air currently operates flights from two Hungarian bases in Budapest and Debrecen with a total of 12 aircraft in the country, and two more aircraft to join the Budapest fleet in 2018. In 2016, 3.7 million passengers flew with WIZZ to and from Hungary, which is more than any airline has ever carried on its Hungarian routes, and represents 23% growth year over year. Based on the 2016 figures the airline’s operations support over 2,800 indirect local jobs**.
