On Friday 8 June a TUI fly Belgium Boeing 737 (OO-JLO) from Ostend Airport to Palma De Mallorca was forced to return to Belgium after “a mistake in the paperwork“.
Flight TB5697 was one hour into the flight -above Limoges/Clermont-Ferrand- when the pilots decided to return, not to Ostend -the airport of departure- but to Brussels Airport.
Raf V., Bart C. and Frank M. where all on board the aircraft for a cycling holiday on the island and explained to Aviation24.be :”We were on board the 16:20 to Palma, suddenly the aircraft headed back to Belgium but without a clear reason. After a while we got the explanation that due to a problem with the paperwork we had to return to Brussels. Our flight to Mallorca has now been scheduled for this evening.“
