This morning Royal Air Force Typhoons have scrambled to guide a Ryanair Boeing 737 (EI-FZH) to Stansted Airport. Flight FR2145 from Kaunas, Lithuania to Luton, UK received a “suspected hoax security alert”. London airspace had to be closed during the security alert. All traffic at London Stansted airport was halted during the operation.
The aircraft safely landed at Luton Airport, a Ryanair spokesman added that all passengers will be coached to Luton. Luton airport is now open and operating normally.
