The Spanish airline Iberia Express today welcomes its first 210 passengers to and from Madrid. To mark the event, some passengers were warmly welcomed on the tarmac and others in the boarding lounge.
Bordeaux Airport Director Pascal Personne said: “This offering meets our aim to increase services to Spain from Bordeaux and thus connect passengers to the world via the Madrid hub.”
The route to the Spanish capital is already a major line for Bordeaux; traffic on this route increased to 53,000 passengers in 2015. So 2016 promises substantial growth with the arrival of Iberia Express.
Madrid is accessible from Bordeaux twice a week:
The route will be operated in an A320 with seating capacity of 176.
Flights are now on sale. Bookings can be made on www.iberiaexpress.com or at a travel agency.
Remember that Madrid is already served with a daily flight by parent company Iberia. Iberia Express provides direct and connecting traffic and increases the number of flights on Thursdays and Sundays from Bordeaux.
