Three-day flight attendant strike between 28 February and 1 March, the never-ending discussion between management and unions. And another hot Summer coming up. You can have all the plans that you want, first you need happy staff. https://www.aviation24.be/airlines/lufthansa-group/brussels-airlines/f...

Re: Brussels Airport (BRU) infrastructure: future
One certainly could agree that the drop-off towards the airport can improve drastically. It’s dirty, boring, you can find homeless people, at the door you will smokers in your way and you need an oxygen system to survive the busses that are idling during pause.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2024
It's how the market works: these days companies don't have to choose much, it's a different story then 25 years ago. It''s a real crisis at this moment. Belgian pilots, mostly copilots, are leaving for other skies (major airlines, in the Middle East,...). Hiring new guys is difficult. Especially at...

A destination we don’t talk too much on this forum is perhaps Helsinki. What could be the reason SN is not flying to this European capital city? I know it’s not a star airport but traffic, yields and transfer possibilities are not high enough to fly Helsinki for SN? Sometimes hard to understand to ...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
OO-SFF stuck in Bujumbura, and it'll take time to repair... :( What is the problem ? Just guessing: SN465's (SFG) diversion to BJM today might (!?) indicate it's bringing a piece of equipment; maybe a replacement engine following a bird strike. Wrong guess: OO-SFF in fact faces a hydraulics issue, ...

Brussels airlines presented new uniforms.. No more red, but champagne colored touches on marine blue uniforms. Also, no more male / female style. Also men can wear make-up and a scarf, women can wear sneakers. https://www.aviation24.be/airlines/lufthansa-group/brussels-airlines/brussels-airlines-sh...

I give you one feedback that illustrates SN’s professionalism level: many cases of severe malaria are now reported amongst the crew. You know the crew are overnighting in “tents” in a National Park lodge close to Ndjili. The Tropical Disease Institute considers that this is a “unconscious risk” und...

Re: Travel policy
There has been a trend that more and more companies don't want staff to travel in business class but will accept the travel in premium economy class, hence the decision to install the configuration on aircraft.
I am not sure though how this relates to bigger corporations or smaller family companies.
