1)As history shows, PW engines (all models) are (a bit) more fuel efficient but far less reliable than those of its competitors.DIBO wrote: ↑14 Jul 2023, 00:54Here you're mistaken, OO-ETB had an engine issue at ANR between 8 JUL around noon, till 9 JUL late morning, with only one flight on 8 JUL taken over by OO-JEF from BRU (and one morning flight on 9 JUL delayed at ANR by a few hours).
Sooner or later P&W's GTF problems will disappear.
And these GTF's on the E295 make it an impressively quiet aircraft (next to all the other ecological and efficiency improvements), underlining TUI Fly's efforts to reduce the ecological footprint of its fleet.
Every new engine has its teething problems but it's how the manufacterer deals with it that makes the difference.
2)This is not the (right) place for propaganda regarding TUIfly E295.
That's the disease of today

TUI Aviation in 2023 - aviation24 forum. Not the right place you said?
I don't see propaganda anywhere, just facts about the E2. It is more fuel efficient, it is nice & quiet and passengers (crew as well btw) LOVE it.

My original post was something like:
>That's the disease of today: Quickly-having-an-answer-ready-without-proper-reading-and-fact-checking.
In my opinion, there was no reason to be censored.
And if if there should be a reason, it would only be fair that the "remains" of the original post
would be marked that it was "edited" by a moderator.
Re: TUI Aviation in 2023
Are you a moderator to decide what is appropriate for this topic? I don't think so.
And as another poster already reacted, you are way out of line with this remark...
And keep your patronizing remarks to yourself and read the forum rules

PRN is not new at all for TUI.

Re: TUI Aviation in 2023
Major delay for TB-165 from 23th November: Punta Cana-Montego Bay-Brussels: OO-LOE (787-8) is still grounded at this very moment.
https://www.aviation24.be/airlines/tui- ... ing-787-8/
Apparently parts that had been sent over from the U.K. couldn't fix the problem. And the press reports that TUI can't find a replacement aircraft:

Re: TUI Aviation in 2023
Difficult to believe they can't find a replacement aircraft.Summer season is over, there is capacity(Heston, Hifly, Privilege, etc) on 330/340 and other suitable aircraft..I think its more about money..Its maybe cheaper to put pax a couple of days in hotles than look for a replacement aircraft.
Re: TUI Aviation in 2023
Iberojet A333 EC-LXA (all white?) is expected at 8PM tonight as JAF933P. Replacement I suppose.

This one used to be all yellow when flying for Spanish Post!
Re: TUI Aviation in 2023
Flightradar reports that EC-LXA will fly Madrid-Brussels-Varadero:

Seems another aircraft will fly to Punta Cana.
Re: TUI Aviation in 2023
TuiFly should maybe think about collaborating with Air Belgium for some Caribean destinations
Their only 787 has quite often problems and the news that several hundreds of passengers are blocked for days with poor or no information is simply unprofessional.
Very bad publicity.

What do you mean by "collaborating with Air Belgium"?JOVAN2 wrote: ↑26 Nov 2023, 21:02 TuiFly should maybe think about collaborating with Air Belgium for some Caribean destinations

The 787's don't have that many issues (probably less than some 330's at SN...) but the consequences are terrible.
Most pax are there on holidays, do get the hotel paid and 600€ of EU compensation per passenger. Things could be worse...
