Too bad Brussels Airport never developed a decent, open air viewing terrace like on quite a few other airports.

I hope the management of the Wingtips Restaurant is renegotiating their lease as they are loosing their unique point of attraction.
When the connector is finished most of the view on tarmac is gone.

Not true, the connector is being build behind wingtips ;)
When in doubt, hold on to your altitude. No-one has ever collided with the sky.

More than tarmac and parking positions, people especially want to see the active runways.

Many people would be happy to see the actual arrival and departure of the plane with their relatives inside. For that you now have to climb up the roof of adjacent parking buildings.

For me personally the Wingtips restaurant lost a lot of its appeal ever since the building of Terminal A, thus obstructing the view on 25R.

I recently sat at the wingtips restaurant. The last pointy rooftop will take a lot of the view on tarmac.
I can imagine that before the connector was build you had the right angle to see the ryanair/easyjet stands next to terminal A
and you still could see most of the taxiway and stands at terminal A.
Not to mention there will be no more planes taxiing in between terminal A and the wingtips restaurant.

Maybe 1/3rd of the window will give an unobstructed view on tarmac. And then you still will have to choose the direction you want to look at.
Or you look at runway 25R and brucargo or you look at the taxiway and stands of terminal A.
