Former long haul destinations ex BRU

Post by triple7 »

Anyone have a link to a website where you can see all longhaul destinations with flights to/from BRU in the past?

I remember Asiana, Thai, Singapore Airlines, Air Mauritius, AirLanka, VASP, etc etc used to fly into BRU,

Can anyone add to this list?

A bit confusing, do you want airlines or destionations? Both, perhaps?
From memory, I can add Cubana, to La Habana presumably.
Perhaps you could set up and publish such a list yourself? Ideally mentioning period(s) of operation, too?

- Air Florida (737 service to LHR)
- Carribean Air (DC10, operated by Ghana Air)
- some african company. Cannot remember the name. They operated a 747-200Combi. Service was stopped after a/c overrun the runway at CDG.

When I travelled to Chile with them (1988) ; they were still flying 707s, they refuelled at Dakar between Brussels and Ascunsion. On the way back they refuelled their 707s on one of the Canary Islands (I believe it was Tenerife). Everybody had to leave the airplane during refuelling.

and Royal Jordanian with a Tri Star , for passengers.
Have been told several times it were horrible flights, especially the connection at Amman.
It was a cheap option to Bangkok.

And also:

CHINA EASTERN AIRLINES (A340)
MINERVE (DC.8's)
SATT (B707's)
TIA (DC.8 & 10)
AIR FLORIDA (even with DC.10 direct flights)
WORLD AIRWAYS (DC.8)
VOYAGER (B720)
SATURN (DC.8)
NORTHWEST (B757)
BRANIFF (DC.8 & B747)
AIRLIFT (DC.8)
AERO AMERICA (B720)
METRO INTERNATIONAL (B747)
BAHAMA'S WORLD (C.880)
FLORIDA AIR TRAVEL (C.880)
MONTANA (B707)

AIR OUTRE MER (for Cubana)

But I have serious doubts abouth this one:
Air INDIA fligt continues to London stops in the 80 more or less
I've seen some Air India's in Brussels but those were one-off's.
