Anyone from Jetairfly reading luchtzak.be ?
What more can I say, introductionflight for aviationlovers all over belgium!
Sabena filled four jumbojets in one day as a farewell flight, guess the 787 introduction deserves at least one !

Indeed, it should be in the same config as Thomson, so:

Dreamclass: 2-3-2
Economy plus: 3-3-3
Economy: 3-3-3

I had The chance to go on board during the T&Gs in OST, and I really hadn't noticed the three classes. Thanks for pointing it out! Not sure how I missed it, though ;-)

First commercial flight of OO-JDL would be on 20 DEC 2013 it seems (and that's my birthday...).
Flown (as a pax): 282 flights, 112 airports, 56 airliner (sub)types, 52 airlines, 464300 km (status 2017) - see: http://openflights.org/user/veldege

Yes, indeed, to Cancun (see above post with timetable). Think of a birthday present?

Well, I just mused over AirTrainer's earlier post (25 SEP). If there's no special (eg SN-747-style; on which I was too) flight with JAF's 787 around 6 DEC (his birthday?), at least there's a regular flight on 20 DEC ... ;)

Boeing warns that the US shutdown could slow jet deliveries. Each aircraft delivered needs indeed FAA approval, and it is not sure that an FAA employee will still be available to grant the authorisation.

A possible delay in the delivery of Jetairfly's 787 ?

ArkeFly, Jetairfly's sister company within TUI in the Netherlands, has changed its name into "Arke".

Will the new 787 be a Jetairfly aircraft, or a Jetair?

The latest released pictures show "Jetairfly"

http://www.jetairflydreamliner.com/

And the name of the aircraft will be "Diamond", registered OO-JDL as already stated in a previous post.

And still no sign of their new destination MIA. So MIA will be flown with the old 767. Why?

Wow... Economy will be cattle extreme:

"Reis je in economy dan heb je meer dan 75cm beenruimte" --> That's actually 29,5 inch of seatpitch???
"In economy+ heb je ZELFS meer dan 85cm beenruimte" --> 33,5 inch is reasonable for regular economy

This in combination with 9 abreast? Damn, I feel sorry allready for those passengers... :(

Premium club is reasonable though still not much special: 95cm or 37 inch of seatpitch (but 7 abreast instead of 9)

Jetairfly says it’s "leg room / beenruimte / espace pour les jambes", and not seat pitch. Seat pitch includes the thickness of the seat. What they call “leg room” is probably the distance from back to front, on seat level. Quite misleading actually, because the average Jetairfly client (and I know a lot of them) will think that the “espace pour les jambes / beenruimte” is the empty space between your seat end and the back of the seat in front of you. Why not add arrows on the photo to avoid this confusion?

But you are right indeed: even with very thin seats, it’s looks poor. Like in most cattle class:

Wow, that is very very poor indeed, especially given it's a plane deployed on long routes!

I agree with passenger: they've wrongfully translated 'seatpitch' into 'beenruimte', thus giving a completely false meaning to these values: the real legroom in such a sardine configuration is what? 15 cm at best????
75 cm like they claim as legroom, that's when you put your legs in your neck, which some passengers might actually have to do!

Shame on Jetair for this highly misleading statement, as I have a feeling it's not done by accident! something for the "VOLT reclametest" of VRT?

Good decision of Arke. I've never understood this stupid "fly" behind the TUI-names.

Thomsonfly ditched the "fly", now Arkefly ditched the "fly". What is Jetairfly waiting for to do the same? Jetair sounds a lot nicer than "Jetairfly"...

Btw, customers don't even use the name Jetairfly. They all say "I fly with Jetair".

I think it may actually be seatpitch...

Thomson has only 2 classes on their 788 (premium and regular economy) and they manage to get 288 people in the plane with 36" in premium and 33" in regular economy.

However JAF is using a 3 class layout in their 788 and yet they manage to get 300 people in the plane (12 more then Thomson) and it seems that premium will be as big as Thomsom (7 rows).

So a true cattle carrier?

It says "more then", so probably a standard pitch of 30" and 34" in eco+...In Dutch it sounds weird if you advertise the correct conversion to cm, you would say: 76,2 cm and 86,4 cm of legroom...just as there is no direct translation for 'seatpitch'.
A 737 has 28" seatpitch and with the new thinner seats installed on airlines now It's not like you're banging your knees at the seat in front of you ;)

So, it's even less then 1 and a half row more...
More legroom means less seats, less revenue for an airline and let's face it...the long-haul 'leisure' market in Belgium just isn't big enough to fill (pay) an airplane with well paid business seats every flight.

Guys, it's a LCC(as they say themselves) and a charter airline. Seat pitch is standard for that sort of operation. You want more? Take a legacy carrier and pay more.
