Post by afrikair »

Hi
The first 747-400 (ex United) for french operator Corsair (TUI group) is presently on ferry flight from USA and due ORY airport mi day (13h45)
Hope Corsair will have less problems than TUI had introducing its 767-300

Yikes, it's a disgrace for such an beautiful bird to wear that livery..... :(

But since Corsair crammed 512 seats into their B743's, does anyone know how much seats the B744's will have?

Yes F-HSUN will follow , there is a total of 6 ex United ordered, a 3rd one is presently on check and final arrangements in JNB.

The F-FTUI arrived to day was the 1st one and has been used for certification flight in USA by the FAA

I confirm the 747-400 Corsair will be the ugliest seating arcraft in the world
It will have 587, 588 or 589 seats, I dont know the final figure as all these 3 been announced

Hello !

I was at ORY to see this bird landing, it's beautiful !
You can see some photos here too : http://www.foxalpha.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4819

F-HSEA is at JNB, F-HSUN and F-HSEX are at AMS.

AFAIK, it was 580, not 512 seats. The new B747-400s should have 587 seats.

Regards

Seb.

I don't think the scheme on the 747 is the worst around, however it's a pity that they couldn't finish off the tail though......!!!! It looks like they got the wrong colour paint and thought "well it'll do!"

Yes, I agree with Emirates. That paintjob on the tail looks terrible 8O
I don't understand they didn't put their TUI-logo ( big smile ) on the tail like they did on most of the TUI airplanes !

I am glad that they didn't put their TUI logo on the tail. That logo is hideous. Why did they feel the need to put "Corsair.fr" on the fuselage? I am pretty sure everyone (in France) could have figured out what their URL is.
