Last flight for Air Belgium?
Or D-check? 8 years old is still very young for a B747-8.
Likely a C check. Not a ton of facilities around. Flying TATL to do the check not that surprising. Delta used to ferry flights to HKG for C checks.

Not operated by KF but wetlease, to operate BRU-SFJ tomorrow. (google SFJ and try to pronounce it…)

So a company wetleased an aircraft with air Belgium wich in return wetlease an aircraft of Getjet to operate this flight? What's the point? Why not directly wetleased Getjet?

A week ago, a source told me : "OOABF had a hydraulic failure and returned to Brussels when doing the Johannesburg flight. Mechanics found out that the hydraulic pump failed and found metallic parts in the engine. ABF needs an engine change."

Contract between AirBelgium and the customer for all of the customer's wetlease needs irrespective of capacity?
Customer/broker has no credit terms with GetJet and no time to set them up, using existing vendor instead?
AirBelgium has negotiated a discount with GetJet, cheaper than going to GetJet directly for a one-off?

Happens regularly.

As I can see on FR24, it's Air Belgium which is carrying the Red Devils to Baku (A330-200 OE-LAC), although Brussels Airlines is one of their official sponsors. Any reason for that?

I guess because of aircraft availability, all SN aircraft are used at the moment, while for Air Belgium... well ... it's Air Belgium

All SN aircraft are used ... or grounded.
OO-SFE to fly SN379 to DLA-NSI this morning had the departure times postponed multiple times :
STD 11:25
Yesterday at noon the flight was already delayed till 12:25. Then 13:40, then 14:30, then 15:45 when BRU web site indicated "Gate closed".
At 18:44 status changed to Cancelled according to Flightstats.com

Sad.

Indeed, "not available" is a beter term indeed. The problem of SN is not to have grounded aircraft, all airlines have. But the spare aircraft possibilities are rather limited. Before beeing 100% part of Lufthansa, SN had an agreement with Hifly to lease them if needed. But this was before.

Has a bitter taste of deja vu. Only, LH will not go bankrupt (before SN), nor does it have to "plan" its own bankrupcy.

Because the extremely marginal benefit of a 2-second shot of players boarding a Brussels Airlines plane during the news isn't worth the cost of accommodating passengers and cargo from the regularly scheduled flights that would have to be canceled.

Could be as part of the sponsoring contract Brussels Airlines agreed to fly the team, but most certainly did not commit to its own metal...

Could also be the sponsoring contract is title for money only, with no service provided. Teams sponsored by McDonald's, Red Bull, or Fiat don't force their players to use these goods on game day. The brands only pay for the rights to call themselves official sponsors, and that's it. No reason air transportation has to be different.

The A330 (OE-LAC) is on the ground in Baku for 2 full days. Apparently Air Belgium does not need the aircraft for other operations during this period.

Flight may be too long for the same crew to turn around and bring the aircraft back. Air Belgium would have had to position another crew the day before. If they had, they could only have used the aircraft for about 26 hours before heading out to Baku again, with no spare if anything went wrong. Leaving the plane in Baku was the right call, and they certainly got paid for it too...

The airplane flew there stayed there to bring Red Devils back after their match against Azerbeidjan.
