A big difference between Marcel Buelens and Eric Dumas, the latter has no feeling with his staff and with the needs of the airport.
EGIS made a big mistake and should try to get Steven Verhasselt or Johan Vanneste...

Both Belgian Egis airports seem to progress though. I don't see what is the problem with Eric Dumas: he is achieving his goals and that's what Egis pays him for.

What are the goals? Please tell me.
I thought that as a CEO of a airport your goal should be to attract as much companies as you can.
Qatar and Egypt air flights are at low key at this moment.
Which means you could increase the profit.

I know that the people of the tourist boards at Oostende and Brughes are not satisfied with the current destinations at the airport.
They want people in and not out.

Brughes is hoping to restore the passenger ferryline with the UK.

No flights this summer by TUI to Egypt, Bulgaria and Turkey(expect the ethnic flights to Eskisehir) while the airport had such good news a few day ago...

Good figures and more destinations soon the be announced...NOPE!

Not too sure Egypt/Bulgaria/Turkey are doing good enough to propose the offer from regional airports...
Doesn't have much to do with OST directly IMHO.

Important infrastructural works have been completed at Ostend-Bruges Airport. The aircraft parking area in front of the passenger building ("Apron 2") was renewed.

My memory seems to be failing with the years.
I really thought Apron 2 was substantially larger than 160 000 square FEET.

You are right, H.A. The LOM (luchthavenontwikkelingsmaatschappij) press release in English says sq. ft., but the Dutch original says m². The latter is obviously correct, and I amend the text right away.

From 0600AM Ostend is expecting a lot of outbound flights as TUI have moved most of its BRU flights to OST due to problems with the handling agent at BRU.

Some of the people living at the K*****straat @ Ostend might have a real problem..lol
