I guess that the invoice to Boeing for the grounding of 4 737 MAX aircraft will be high!

Another aircraft. ES-SAM is currently at TLL, operating for themselves.

AlbaStar 734 EC-LTG is operating as from this afternoon, at BRU.

It flew TB2251 to Heraklion.

OY-RUT, MD82 DAT is flying as well for TUI...

Arrived at OST and flew to ALC.

I think at the end of the summer we have to summarize all the planes used during the season...

3 hours in a CRJ-900ER, not the best comfortable way to begin your holidays...

Royal Air Maroc uses its ERJ190s on many Europeans services, mainly to France, Germany and Scandinavia and sometimes on Africa ops, such as to Niger. Flight time: between 2h30 and 4h05

Air Modolva uses its ERJ190s, on flights from Portugal, to Modolva. Flight time: 4h20

Kenya Airways uses its ERJ190, from Nairobi to Douala (Cameroon), Bangui (Central African Republic), Cape Town, Luanda (Angola), Dzaoudzi (Mayotte), Moroni (Comoros) , Pemba (Mozambique),....Flight time: between 2h30 and 4h30.

Ethiopian Airlines used its Q400NG, from Addis Ababa to some East Africans routes (Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya and Tanzania). Flight time: between 2h and 3h.

IMHO, you can't compare the CRJ & ERJ cabins. CRJ is much more cramped.
Flown a lot on TUI fly's ERJ190 and pretty happy about it :-)

Indeed, significant difference in fuselage diameter :
- MooseJet : 2.69m
- SambaJet : 3.01m

But they are both "Regional Jet" ;). I just wanted to show that some regional Jets, have huge capability, including the CRJ-900LR (Range: 3,660 km https://www.adria.si/en/flights-and-des ... &icdshow=1). By air Charleroi Oujda it's 1.825,16 km https://www.distance.to/Charleroi,BEL/O ... -Angad,MAR. Probably the loads, for this day, did not require the use of a B737-800. So probably better to lease a CRJ-900LR almost full, that a B737-800 almost empty.

It's like when some people say that jet aircraft are always better than turboprop aircraft (ATR, Q400). Because for many people (including avgeek) turboprop aircraft means old aircraft or not reliable aircraft (in French vieux coucou). In both cases, many people (including avgeek) underestimate the huge capability of Regional aircraft.

Airlines make also money, because they use the right aircraft on such a market. As always i say it, Airlines order aircraft not only to satisfy passengers or avgeeks, but firstly to meet its needs

I made some mistakes. Nordica CRJ-900 are ER version not LR.

ER version: 2 500 Km on Nordica website https://www.nordica.ee/en/about-the-company/fleet/

Bombardier website: 2 871km, for CRJ-900, but they don't specify the version. http://commercialaircraft.bombardier.co ... crj-series

Based on Bombardier website, a CRJ-900NG / ER / LR can fly from Paris to Moscow (here from Orly to Sheremetyevo) https://www.distance.to/Orly-Internatio ... Moscow,RUS

Or from Barcelona to Helsinki https://www.distance.to/Barcelona-El-Pr ... irport,FIN

SmartLynx Airlines (a Latvian/Estonian airline from which TUI fly Belgium is wet-leasing more than a handful of aircraft this summer) is to be purchased by FZE Procyon (UAE), which is owned by Gediminas Ziemelis, the founder and owner of Avia Solutions Group (Lithuania).

Do you follow? :D

TUI fly Belgium flight TB3102 from Sharm el-Sheikh; operated by SmartLynx Estonia A320 ES-SAT, delayed by a technical problem, compelling 171 vacationers to spend an extra night in SSH.
