Just to make sure: the above quote "..But the union said action had to come about because the airline..." is not a quote from me: it's a quote from the BBC article I referred to.sean1982 wrote: ↑11 Jun 2017, 17:32They probably won't get it back though, the company feels, and rightly so imo, that in that way it disadvantages the crew who DID come work, took the brunt and operated more than their schedule agreement to ensure all flights were operated.Passenger wrote: ↑10 Jun 2017, 22:56 But the union said action had come about because the airline had treated staff who had participated in earlier strike action unfairly. BSCA CEO Jean-Jacques Cloquet (who has a good relationship with the unions and no political affililation) is not amused and threatens back: "If they go on strike for a reason that has nothing to do with the airport, I resign."

British Airways is cancelling dozens of flights because of the unprecedented 16-day strike by some cabin crew. The strike BA’s Mixed Fleet will run from Saturday 1 July to Sunday 16 July inclusive.
While most flights will operate as normal, British Airways has cancelled a number of long-haul departures to and from Heathrow, but says that short-haul flights are unaffected.
