Brussels Airport cinfirms that Airbus contacted us to perform a short visit, maybe on 26 June, but as far as we understand at this stage there is no formal confirmation yet, nor a schedule.
The A380 can technically land and take-off at BRU without problems, but scheduled operational use needs infrastructure work (broadening shoulders at taxiways, etc…). These works will be executed as soon as there is a need for them. Do not expect to see the A380 make operational use of BRU in the coming years. "

It would be great if you inform us if there is a confirmation and/or schedule!

Brussels Airport welcome to Luchtzak. Here's hoping you guys and girls will be able to provide the Belgian aviation community with good quality and current info about your airport.

This is no rumour.

The A380 will come for sure on 26 june.

It is still not known when, or how long it will stay at BRU.

I'll keep you informed.

I have just been advised that due to schedule changes, the A380 would not come to Brussels Airport on June 26, 2007.
Airbus still plans to visit our airport in the near future.
We will keep you posted !

Why do they post news if it's not confirmed?
I almost took a half day off...

Lucky enough I booked my Thalys for the week-end
Fly4hours, making the path to airline pilot affordable to all

Yes, it seems that Airbus cancelled the A380 trip to BRU
on 26 june.

But Airbus still plans to visit BRU in the very near future to
perform some testing.

I'll keep you posted if there is more news.

I'm sorry, but why is it a shame? It WILL come, just not next Tuesday. I don't see the point of frustration...

Indeed soon , and I even hope THIS holiday, wich means between NOW and September. And god I hope not on another day I have to work, because that really ALWAYS happens. Who don't know that situation?

Best regards: Yannick ;)
