There are no plans to add B757 in the current fleet at this moment.
With the introduce of some Bae146, B737 and B747 there is no need to expand the fleet with additional aircrafts.
But like I said in the first sentence "at this moment". Nobody can predict if there is need next year.

It is the end of 2006, is there already some news of the 2 Jumbo's for TNT?Atlantis wrote:From the end of 2006 TNT will received it's first, splendid new, B747-400ERF cargo planes. In 2007 we will add 2 Bae146's, 6 B737's - one extra QC - and the two B747-400.
First all ops have to ready before starting this major expantion.
@ b-west,
The photo in the gallary on the right site is an animation of the B747-400 that will join the fleet in 2007. The last B747 for TNT has already left the fleet already some years ago.

The first of 4 (!) B747-400ERF was rolled out of the Seattle production plant last Monday (20 November).
The aircraft, OO-THA, will be painted next week, followed by Boeing test flights and acceptance flight.
The ferry flight SEA-LGG is currently planned on 22 December!
Be sure to mark the date in your agenda!
Kind regards,
GR.
PS: after THA and THB (owned by TNT), two additional aircraft, THC and THD, will be leased by TNT, but these will be immediately sub-leased to Emirates until TNT has the need for the capacity of the extra aircraft.

First commercial flight of the B747 for TNT will be in 2007 as at the end of this year there is not much cargo traffic.
But don't forget, as announced by our CEO, the second one will not enter the fleet before July 2007!! At this moment there is absolutely no demand to use a lot of freighters in the direction of China. First of all the route Shangai - Liège has to prove that it is the right one with the correct frequenties.

I know that we added two 146 QC (TAZ and TAY) but can you confirm they will add 2 more 146s?
Where will they come from? Mistral air, pan air (two subsidiary of tnt) or another airline?
Thanks
Hello,
At the moment there are no plans to add extra BAe's to the fleet. Nor will there be any transfers from PanAir or Mistral to TNT Airways.
On the 737 side, the status and prognose is as follows:
Currently 7 aircraft in service: OO-TNA to OO-TNH (with OO-TND written off)
OO-TNE is to undergo Pax to Cargo conversion as of 19 December, by GAMECO (subsidiary of IAI) at CAN (= Guangzhou, China).
OO-TNF and OO-TNG are flying cargo during weekdays, with at the moment just one of them returning to BRU for pax flights during the weekend. Some weekends (mostly during weeks of school holidays), they both fly in pax config. I have read in this thread several times that the QC are flying cargo at night and pax during daytime, but I have yet to see this happen. They currently operate as described above and will return permanently to BRU at the end of June 2007 for continous pax operations during summer season.
OO-TNI (msn 23512) is parked at LGG and ready to enter service, awaiting CofA by the BCAA
OO-TNJ (msn 23260) is currenly in Pax to Cargo conversion at IAI in Tel Aviv, was expected to be ready end of November, but will be placed on hold pending certification of TNI
OO-TNK (msn 23258) is ready to start Pax to Cargo conversion, but this will not be started until TNJ has left the IAI hangar at TLV.
No further additions to the fleet planned at this moment.
The addition of an extra QC for summer 2007 is currently investigated (to replace TNE), but no decision has been taken yet.
Kind regards,
GR.
