Geneva Airport passenger numbers record

In the weekend of February 25 - 26, Geneva International Airport received 96.888 passengers (57.373 on Saturday and 39.515 on Sunday). This is the highest ever in the history of the airport.

This high number can be explained by returning and departing local holidaymakers, as well as a lot of foreign tourists heading towards and from French and Swiss ski resorts.

Let's see how the trafic figures were this weekend when the Geneva Motor Show is in process. I bet that the 25-26 February weekend traffic will be overfulfilled.

I'm glad for GVA which used to be my home airport for 5 years, at the time when Swissair decided to almost abandon it. Luckily the canton reacted brilliantly by inviting foreign airlines and LCCs, with success!

it's because of easyjet, and all these english that come to gva airport to ski in Switzerland and France...

GVA airport is doing a great with more and more flights coming in each year, ive been observing it closely for years since its my home airport
