New SNBA routes
Brussels Airlines - Flying Your Way
Great news
I hope they'll be able to fill those planes
Anyway here's the site of Slovak airlines. Their livery is very similar with the one of SNBA

Considering that BTS is at 40 km of VIE, I am not sure that their planes will be filled. I went several times to Bratislava: flying to Vienna and from there renting a car or taking a shuttle bus. very convenient!
About the livery of Slovak Airlines: they stole our Magritte's Bird in the Sky !!!

Re: New SNBA routes
How come these flights are not yet on Galileo if they are introduced on 26 October? They are not even on SN BA's website. Not a clever way to advertise those new flights!Sabena_690 wrote:SN Brussels is inaugerating a one-weekly flight to Sofia, Bulgaria.

Re: new york
We know already since some time that SN BA had appointed someone in New York, or more precisely in New Jersey (close to Newark). It was certainly not to sell tickets on Delta or Continental. The rumour spreads.... 8)lumumba wrote:t SNBA is thinking of opening New york!
P.S. Patrice, with such a first name, you shouldn't take lumumba as a nickname. But that's just a personal opinion... fftopic:

Those flights to Bratislava were in the pipeline for years, finally they have materialized.Sabena_690 wrote:Flights will be operated by Slovak Airlines.
Must say there are still a few points left in Europe to start services from ebbr:
Tirana, Sarajevo, Skopje, Reykjavik, Torhavn, Minsk, Kishinev, Tallinn.
Who dares

SWISS broke its neck in Tirana and Sarajevo (and their home base is closer to these cities than SNBA's). Iceland has a low population and has already flights from AMS, LON, CPH, etc. Minsk and Kishinev (I would say Chisinau: they hate the Russians and their language) are hardly democracies. None of these places wouod be a good choice.
Tallinn? Maybe! Another destination in the Baltic States...

A lot of rumours are going on around the suggested BRU-JFK flight, and in this case some make sense.
I don't think it is for the coming few months, but when yields increase and the traffic in general picks up again, I'm fairly sure AA will start BRU-JFK in codeshare with SN.
Of course things have changed now, with the codeshare between AA and BA. I would of course prefer the stop over in LHR, but the biggest part of the travellers wants a direct flight to JFK, not the connections mess in LHR.
Regards
Frederic

I don't think Tirana was a bad destination for Swiss. When I flew there last year, flights were fully booked (also Austrian flight was full) ...sn26567 wrote:Q707 wrote:

Sometimes a destination can be a niche for an airline even if there is not much pax (e.g. Kigali for SNBA).
The baltic cities could be interesting for the same reason that Bratislava is a good choice: traffic in the framework of EU - not to be underestimated.
Some time ago there were some rumours about SNBA to have it's codeshare on the flights to Kiev. Does anyone have more news?

A very poor reason not to start services to ebbr. Iceland is famous for its pure nature. But of course unfamous for the weather, but in fact this is only a little bit worser then over here .sn26567 wrote:Iceland has a low population and has already flights from AMS, LON, CPH, etc.Q707 wrote:Must say there are still a few points left in Europe to start services from ebbr: ...Reykjavik...
So why do the Belgians hesitate for a visit over there? I guess the Costa Brava sounds a bit more familiar in their ears .
