One question: what would have become Brussels Airlines without Lufthansa or any other major airline companies that would have invested in SN to develop?
SN would have never survived alone. It would have disappeared years ago.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020
we shoot ourselves in the foot by organizing unfair competition with a low cost airport a few km from Brussels (but in another region... ), you do not see that in Switzerland, or Austria. and we tolerate crazy ticket prices from lowcost airlines (which, on top, is bad for the climate .... ) Please ...

I really wonder how Terzaki still managed to convince investors to believe in his dreams...
I also wonder how long this new chapter of Air Belgium's adventure will last.

Re: Website referencing aircraft routes
The first one.
For instance, I'd like to select:
Airline: KLM
Aircraft: B789
=> Which destinations are they flying to with such aircraft and what is the schedule for each route ?

Website referencing aircraft routes
Hi, I'm looking for a specific website referencing all aircraft routes operated by airlines. I mean, not an flight tracker (e.g. flightradar, flightaware,...) but a website where it's possible to select an airline and view its aircrafts' routes. I'm pretty sure such kind of website exists but unfort...

Let's bring back Ronald Reagan...
Seriously, this is a pure shame. Those unions full of egocentric individuals who desperately keep clinging to their privileges and refuse to adapt to a changing world are what drags down our economy.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019
Still don't understand why SN keeps spending money on painting their aircrafts knowing the fact that the brand will disappear.
Such a pity to see that Belgium will have no more "Belgian-branded" airline...

Re: Air Belgium in 2019
When it comes to communications, you don’t have to tell everything but whatever is said has to be true. Otherwise, if you don’t keep your promise, you expose yourself to a high risk of developing an atmosphere of uncertainty about you.

Re: Air Belgium in 2019
Should we really be surprised? AB proved once again, it’s lack of credibility when looking at their initial plans vs reality. They still stay airborne with ACMI flights. Well ok, fine. Good for them. Then stick to it, review your ambitions and stop announcing business developments that won’t happen....

Re: Air Belgium in 2018
They should really improve their corporate communications. I’ve never seen such unprofessional communication from an airline company. What is their key message? What are they trying to tell/sell ? Posting pictures of unreadable content and unknown people to the general public makes no sense at all...

It doesn't take an MBA to understand that competing against well established carriers in one of the most competitive markets with a new brand, bad shedule, secundary airport, small marketing budget while relying on the patience of your investment partners is a short term and short lived strategy. H...

Re: Air Belgium in 2018
To make your long story short...it's all about branding right? A brand name that isn’t enough relevant to match the company’s initial business plan which is now compromised. In terms of image, they’re in a very bad situation right now which, besides the financial situation, helps increasing the lac...

Re: Air Belgium in 2018
Another point is the lack of match between the brand name and the brand positioning. Especially when we take a look at Brussels Airlines who struggled to keep a Belgian identity even way before Lufthansa took over the company. They did their utmost to make the "Belgitude" live but Brussels...

Re: Air Belgium in 2018
Correct me if I'm wrong, but Air Belgium is: - a Belgian company with its seat in Mont-Saint-Guibert, - based at a Belgian airport, - initially planned to fly scheduled flights between Belgium and China. What do you suggest? Should they re-name themselves, re-paint (sticker) their planes and put up...

Re: Air Belgium in 2018
They will make a lot more money flying ACMI this winter than empty planes to Hong Kong so probably the right decision... and look at HiFly... they started ACMI with the A340 and now are the only airline in the world to offer the A380 in ACMI. AB is very lucky that this 787 situation is going on rig...
