Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018
That is very cheap, I find. Many people do not drink tap water at home or at a restaurant..why should they at a premium lounge? Actually this is very standard in Estonia You *always* get water with berries, fruits, even flowers-petals I don't find this cheap at all (and way better than all the plas...

Re: Alitalia near bankruptcy. Can it be saved?
Yes it is it's linked to Alitalia.... If the country go bankrupt they have no dept anymore it's over, sure thay will have to adapt there economy to somthing else out of the euro and a more natinal one but without debt there economy will flourish. They even could be example of a new way what has to b...

Re: Alitalia near bankruptcy. Can it be saved?
They now what there are doing if the interest go up to much to country will go bankrupt and the banks will lose everything. They Italian government is ready to go back to the Lira without any debt anymore that's maybe what should happen Even if they revert to the Lira, the debt remains. I don't see...

Re: Alitalia near bankruptcy. Can it be saved?
The Italian government was very clear about it they don't care if they don't receive the aprovel from Brussels! They will do there plan with or without the EU like there national budget was done, and there are right in my perspective. Actually they already adapted their budget a bit. The interest th...

Re: Estonian Air bankrupt - Replaced by Nordica
From January, Nordica will cut routes from Tallinn; Oslo, Amsterdam and St-Petersburg The number of flights to Stockholm-Arlanda and Munich will be reduced The carrier cites heavy competition (up to 4 carriers on route to Arlanda), and predicts loss for this year. Last year they did make a profit, b...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Careful, they have 14 'own' planes now according to the list posted (so excluding the ones flying for eurowings), so that seems to suggest they are currently over equipped with planes, probably due to a needed overlap? As such, it's normal that a snapshot on today's fleet status shows more leavers ...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
So 7 are leaving, and only 5 'new' planes (well, yeah...) are scheduled to fly from BRU
Will OO-SFB come back to BRU or not?
And will there be more investment, or will LH/EW keep reducing their 'Longhaul specialist'?
Seems there will be less flying to Africa and North America ahead too

I landed from Addis and saw an EW a330. Is this one to be painted in SN colours, or it goes to DUS too ?

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018
But if SN would be 'pushed out' in favour of: other *A partners, transit via FRA/MUC/ZRH or the EW option,I guess other players will show up to take on the non-stop connection to JFK,IAD,YYZ, wouldn't you think so? I'm not so sure as you are. BRU-FCO, if it turns from SN to EW, I don't think some o...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018
I guess it's YYZ and not YVR ! So it would be throwing passengers into the arms of UA and AC because it would not occur to me to make a transfer @ FRA or MUC with LH. Fortunately, CDG or AMS are at your fingertips ! Same for me. I dread the idea of having to change in FRA all the time. I did so on ...

Re: BRU Summer 2019: news, new routes, airlines
I wonder in how far these flights are necessary or will be profitable. I was a few days ago on the flight from BRU to TLL and load factor was only about 60%. Maybe it was just a calmer day. Could be of course. Well, when Estonian Air went bankrupt, Estonian media said Tallinn-Brussels was the only ...

Re: The CityJet Sukhoi SSJ100-95 saga is hurting Brussels Airlines
We flew one last week-end to Warsaw (EI-FWA)
I thought it was comfortable, but NOISEY.
Funnily enough, it was our first trip on a Russian made plane (even though coming from the Former Soviet Union)
SN's Airbuses still are more comfortable, so I'm fine with the idea of the SSJ's being replaced
