Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
I am rather happy they're still investing in this livery, though I like other better. It also reassures me SN will be around a bit longer (they're a very decent option out of Brussels, and a part of a large alliance). I do wonder what will happen with this OO-SNN It better not be a EW one. I would g...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019
I hope LH realises they have nothing to gain by scrapping the name Brussels Airlines, but I fear the worst. I know from people working at the airport that the e-mails coming from staff in the b-house now have a 'Eurowings' signature (the text that appears under each e-mail), there is no more sign o...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019
And how much SN has to pay for this ?
Doesn't make sense to keep wet leasing planes instead of just getting more planes.
Unless they want SN to fail, I suppose.
It's not just high season, one of the CSA planes is all year..

Re: Social actions at air traffic control service skeyes (Belgium) - possible air traffic disruptions
People, let's not let this escalate into some shouting contest. Some remarks though; I think everyone agrees Skeyes *is* understaffed. Though, I doubt striking will fix this short term. I also understood a negotiator is already appointed, or is this wrong from my side? What I do fear, as by calling ...

Re: BRU Summer 2019: news, new routes, airlines
For me Gare du Midi ( ZYR ) has a perfect service and AF from CDG goes everywhere in the world. LAX - YVR - BKK - YYZ - HAV/SCU - YUL - GIG my next trips ! A while ago, because of a cancelled flight, I had to take the High Speed Rail to CDG and fly from there. I agree, the High Speed Rail connectio...

Re: BRU Summer 2019: news, new routes, airlines
The premium passengers has to fly via other airports. Well, I do think there are enough premium passengers to guarantee certain routes (BRU --> EU Capitals) So those people won't really have to take 2h trains each time. And there you can of course connect as well (SAS, Finnair, Aer Lingus) But in g...

Re: BRU Summer 2019: news, new routes, airlines
LH sees SN and BRU as a big obstacle. They best way for them was to take over SN. So one trouble less. With BRU they play it on the way to take as much as they can Star flights to their own airports in Germany. Well, there is a rationale behind it from their perspective. But trying to send everyone...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
I saw that 'City of Prague' (OK-NEP) is flying for SN to TLS
Is this plane permanently going to fly for SN? I would find that a bit upsetting, Brussels Airlines with its 'Belgian icon' planes, suddenly flying around with advertisement for another city..

Re: Social actions at air traffic control service skeyes (Belgium) - possible air traffic disruptions
Are there any new discussions planned? What's the way forward at the moment? I somehow have the feeling neither side really cares about the current situation. One side calls in sick, the other side shrugs its shoulders saying they'll hire. Fine. In the mean time, nothing moves because Skeyes (nor mg...

Mayhem at Brussels Airport, lots of cancelled flights. Huge slots ... Yesterday evening as well. The flight to TLL took off more than an hour after boarding completed It's getting rather sad this is a recurring issue (I'm not picking any side here, I just hope this gets sorted out in a sustainable ...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
BRU as a hub for long-haul flights I somehow doubt it. Recently I get lots of advertisement on my screen; Fly to the US with SQ! Via FRA It always annoys me. 1) FRA is a horrible place to change planes (only do it when other options are too difficult) 2) The flights are not with SQ but with LH 3) N...

I found this PBS (US) interview rather interesting, especially the remark about the symbiotic FAA-Boeing relationship;

It is much cheaper than bottled water. I meant cheap like style I find a design glass bottle with fruits and petals floating in it much more stylish and personal than a plastic bottle.
