+ all the flights Brussels Airlines is flying for them as HQ ... not so good for Thomas Cook ... as they are really short on planes

Exactly. SN flies less scheduled flights during the summer, right at the moment when TCAB needs more aircraft: a good combination. No need to buy or lease planes which would be idle during the winter.

How exactly does that look in practice?

The Aviation Factory did make this 757 deal happen. Great teamwork!

Thus the same what KL does. KL leases 2 737-800s to HV for HVs Summer schedule (ina ddition to the other 800s HV leases).

The Thomas Cook charters operated by SN already operate under HQ number, and use Aviapartner as handling agent for instance. The charters operating under SN flightnumber are mainly for Clubmed (and other smaller your operators).

that's what I mean .. it's a win win situation for both of them .. planes of SN are still flying in stead of staying on the ground and Cook can keep their clients and after al they don't mind which plane they're flying on. They pay for their holiday package :) But I don't understand why they're doing everything exactly as it would be a Cook plane ... aviapartner handling, gategourmet catering, aviapartner crew transport,... but still it's the Brussels Airlines plane ...

Why not? Isn't it similar to the SN/FlyBe situation with the Q400s?

on the flybe the colors and the product are SN , in this case its a plane of SN but product (trolleys, material, ... ) and procedures of Thomas Cook

Yes but, however frustrating it might be, you can hardly expect to have the SN planes re-painted in Thomas Cook colors every week-end!

Both are ACMI leases, but the flybe deal is for a longer and uninterrupted period, so Flybe bothered painting a few planes, contrary to here. Nevertheless, it regularly happens that a flybe coloured plane operates for SN too.
