Re: Anomalies in BRU-ANR-CRL-KJK-LGG-OST in 2024
Used to a left hand turn when taking off from 25R?

Re: Anomalies in BRU-ANR-CRL-KJK-LGG-OST in 2024
The routing is unusual, not the departure itself.
Possibly for airspace restrictions (-> avoiding a CTOT).

United Airlines flight UA973 from Brussels to Chicago O'Hare (Boeing 787-10 reg. N16008) made a U-turn just after passing over London and returned to Brussels "because we need additional time to assist customers on this flight" (says United). Strange justification: did someone forget his wallet, or was some baggage still not loaded?
The first takeoff from BRU was scheduled at 10:10 (UTC+1) and effective at 10:26. Back in Brussels at 11:51 and new take-off at 13:14.
The flight is now expected to land at ORD at 14:48 (UTC-5), two and a half hours late.

Do you seriously believe this message is related to the reason of the return to BRU?sn26567 wrote: ↑02 Feb 2024, 16:58 United Airlines flight UA973 from Brussels to Chicago O'Hare (Boeing 787-10 reg. On saturday evening CRL was closed due to an incident during landing flight 9719 CIA - CRL, operated by Ryanair 737-800 (EI-DYC). No injuries.
It seems to be a technical problem with te nosewheel, cq torque link.
Due to te incident, several flights were diverted to BRU and LGG.

KF278 (OE-LAL) diverted back to BRU tonight, staying in hold for over 2 hours.
Any specific reason known?

Playback: https://www.flightradar24.com/data/airc ... l#342d22f6 (see also the altitude and speed graph)
Tracking log: https://www.flightaware.com/live/flight ... R/tracklog
The above data show that during the time (about half an hour) that it was out of reach over the Atlantic, it descended from 34,750ft to 10,000ft, an altitude it then maintained all the way back to Belgium where it was kept in a hold over 2 hours near Erpe-Mere at an altitude varying between 8,000 to 10,000ft, before proceeding to BRU to land.
No news yet in the Aviation Herald.

Cause was loss of cabin pressureAarjenP wrote: ↑29 Feb 2024, 06:26 KF278 (OE-LAL) diverted back to BRU tonight, staying in hold for over 2 hours.

Hi anyone there are 2 SN flights from Kigali to Brussels tomorrow ? The unsual flight is operated on morning (already delayed). The A330 was supposed to fly to KInshasa on 17Mar and JFK on 18Mar. Both flights were canceled
Yesterday, there were no SN flight at Kigali (see the screen capture). The aircraft landed on 16 March 2024.

It seems OO-SFG is AOG at KGL since Saturday 16, hence the cancellation of JFK flight on Sunday 17, and of the FIH flight on Monday 18. It's supposed to fly back to BRU as a positioning flight SN9906.rwandan-flyer wrote: ↑17 Mar 2024, 23:23 Hi anyone there are 2 SN flights from Kigali to Brussels tomorrow ? On March 16, an Air Arabia Maroc Airbus A320-200 (reg. CN-NMH) was operating flight 3O851 from Oujda, Morocco, to Brussels when it experienced engine trouble. The aircraft was at FL340, around 70nm east of Malaga when the crew decided to turn around and descend to FL330. They then diverted to Casablanca, Morocco, where they landed safely about 50 minutes later. The issue was reported to be a recurring problem with one of the engines (CFM56).

On 20 March, an Air Belgium flight from Brussels to Cincinnati (Airbus A330-200F reg. OE-LAL) experienced a mid-air emergency due to a potential ventilation system malfunction, prompting the aircraft to return to Brussels Airport. The flight, identified as KF278, raised the emergency squawking code 7700 approximately 90 minutes into the journey. Despite the setback, the aircraft landed safely without incident, and maintenance crews attended to the issue upon arrival.
The aircraft eventually operated flight KF278D from Brussels to Cincinnati on 22 March.

This is rather an anomaly on Flightradar24:
Yesterday (24 March), Brussels Airlines resumed flights to Tel Aviv. Airbus A320 OO-SNJ operated flight SN3289. Flightradar24 data show that the aircraft diverted to Beirut. However, the same FR24 website shows that one hour after landing in BEY (?), the flight departed normally from Tel Aviv. Wow: teleportation!
Note: a Brussels Airlines spokesman confirmed that flight SN3289 landed normally in TLV.
