Hi
What would be the cheapest option?
Need a flight to Sydney (in July), but with no fixed date yet for the return flight. Will be somewhere end of December.
Take a one way and book the return flight later?
Or book both ways now and pay a rebooking fee? In that case, which company offers the best solution for that?
Cheapest option?

In the past it was possible to buy a return ticket with an open return, meaning you had to select a date for the outbound flight, but not for the inbound one. For the return you would call the airline a few days in advance to tell them the exact date.
I am not sure this option still exists.

I've asked travel agency also, an open return ticket doesn't exist anymore. Rebooking a ticket is around 150€ at most airline companies.
I would say a max of 2 stops the keep the total travel time a bit 'normal'.

I guess around end of August. First settle there and get used to the university. Studies end the end of November, but will probably do some traveling afterwards.

One of many options:
Brussels Airlines or SAS: Brussels - Oslo/Copenhagen/Stockholm
Norwegian: Oslo/Copenhagen/Stockholm - Bangkok
Jetstar: Bangkok - Melbourne
Loads of airlines: Melbourne - Sydney
OR get from Bangkok to Phuket, and then fly Jetstar from there to Sydney.

OR Scoot from Berlin/Athens - Singapore - Sydney.

I assume you'll need to go back to SYD again after december if you're going to the university ? If so then you can book an one-way ticket for july, then book a return ticket SYD-XXX-SYD when you're there and know more about the dates.HereWeCome wrote: ↑16 Apr 2018, 18:51 I guess around end of August.
