Looking to the VLM Airlines booking system on their website there are some modifications done. As of 15 April there are only two weekly flights (--3-5--) on route MBX-MUC bookable. However the other route, ANR-MBX is bookable as normal (12345--). This make no sense at all. Maybe they are implementing some changes to the flight schedule again.
The figures of flights to MBX are indeed very bad from the operational and economical point of view. But taken in consideration that there was no advertising for the route done, the results are logical. VLM Airlines is also completely unknown brand to Slovenian costumers. However it is promising that now the flights show at the skyscanner search. I strongly believe in the potential of the route.
Regarding MBX, there was a good article regarding the development of the airport recently in Večer newspaper. Apparently the bureaucratic procedures for runway extension from current 2500m to 3300m are underway and are expected to be done in few months. There is a big plan from SHS Aviation how thy will expend the whole airport. Apron and runway extension, new terminal, fuel storage area, parking house... The chart now looks a bit more realistic as the initial one. SHS is (as they say) preparing to establish flights between MBX and China immediately after runway extension completion. Boris Bobek (diector of SHS and MBX) even said in an interview that the whole project is a part of "One belt one road" and "16+1" initiatives.
Under the following link there is the article (Slovenian language, but you can still use google translate):

I assume these figures would include pax to/from Antwerp.Mariborchanka wrote: ↑28 Mar 2018, 00:18Number of passengers for the first four weeks:

Well spotted! The flights from ANR to MBX now only show up on Wednesdays and Fridays as well. Flights on other days are 'sold out' but in any case not bookable anymore.Haplek wrote: ↑28 Mar 2018, 12:22 Looking to the VLM Airlines booking system on their website there are some modifications done. What hasn't changed yet is the timing of the first outbound flight from MUC to ANR on other weekdays. That is still scheduled for 13:15 on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday or a full 4.5 hours after arrival. That's obviously bound to change now that the return trip between MUC and MBX has been cancelled on those days. Provided VLM can get the slots they could probably retime the flight to about 09:20 which makes the route somewhat more interesting from the Munich side as you'd be able to arrive in ANR just after 11am instead of 3pm.
On the flip side, that plane will then sit idle at ANR for more than 6 hours 3 days a week.

It's official. The MBX - MUC route will be only twice a week, as confirmed by Yves Panneels. From our newspaper Večer.

LF on route MUC - MBX - MUC after 7 weeks is 11,9%.
Re: VLM Airlines Regional (SHS Antwerp Aviation) news 2018
Not very glorious indeed. The lack of codeshare with a major carrier could explain such a poor performance, because MUC is a large hub from which it is possible to reach the world!

Who would want to codeshare with them? Graz is about 50 km away and well connected to a number of important hubs.

With the disappearance of the MUC-MBX-MUC run three days a week. the timing of the outbound MUC-ANR flight in the morning has now changed as well... sort of. The VLM website is showing VO134 leaving at 13:15 on Wednesday and Friday (when the Maribor flight is running) but VO132 leaving at 09:25 on other weekdays. But they only do so from early June on, well after the axing of the three MBX flights.

New destinations from Antwerp starting June 4th: Aberdeen (1-3-5--), Cologne (days 12-4-67) and Rostock (days 12-4-67).
Aberdeen - Antwerp flights are direct on Mondays but make a stop in Birmingham on other days. Which also means VLM will start operating domestic flights in the UK again.
Cologne and Rostock are combined destinations (ANR-CGN-RLG and vv).

I'm once again baffled by VLM's network developments. How do they want to attract business travellers with those flight schedules? Nevertheless, I wish them all the best.

Maribor local media report that VLM Airlines is going to operate scheduled charter flights between Maribor (MBX) and Chios (JKH) in Greece. The flights are supposed to operate between 5. June and 24. July once per week (-2-----). The flight tickets are supposed to be on sale via Intelekta (http://www.intelekta.eu/de) tour operator as a part of tourist packages.
The initial information that the airline to operate these flights to be VLM was wrong. It will be greek Astra Airlines.

Re: VLM Airlines Regional (SHS Antwerp Aviation) news 2018
Business routes like ANR-MUC need to be flown twice a day weekdays morning and night... and the fact the airplane continues to Maribor makes that impossible... so they are failing on MUC and obviously on Maribor...
Its the plan where you want to do a lot and not do it right... which makes no sense..
Develop Antwerp.. fly to business destinations in the morning and night and then send the planes to leisure destinations mid-day and weekends and I think you could do pretty decent with some advertising and a nice selection of destinations... TUI has done it and there is no reason VLM can't do it either.. but focus!!!
