It's true that IAG has an alternative to LIM with IB daily from MAD (and codeshared by BA).

Is easyjet cancelling BRU-BOD and BRU-NAP from 27 October onwards?
Re: Cancelled services and discontinued routes in 2017
I have asked easyJet.
Re: Cancelled services and discontinued routes in 2017
They sent me an email, as I regulary book these routes, they will drop the routes from winter 2017 onwards.
My EZY friends already told me EZY is very unhappy about handling by Aviapartner in Brussels. Almost every flight is delayed, which has a knock on effect, every minute delay has a cost and is subtracted from the yield. Bottomline: they can make more money elswhere.

Other easyJet flights that will be cancelled from Brussels ?Poiu wrote: ↑20 Apr 2017, 22:15They sent me an email, as I regulary book these routes, they will drop the routes from winter 2017 onwards.

Schönefeld and Malpensa are also already cancelled. Then they must be really unhappy about the handling. Didn't Ryanair chose this handling partner as well?
Re: Cancelled services and discontinued routes in 2017
Just checked the website of Easyjet and they only keep Switzerland and Nice as destinations then.
The list of canceled routes by them is getting very long, just as for ryanair and vueling too btw.
Are we sure it's all due to external issues like they love to claim, or are they simply seeking excuses because the home carrier is giving them too much of a headache and they logically avoid a long and costly fight with them?
The 'pain level' of a 'discounter' is known to be extremely low, not just in aviation btw, so a competitive environment where they're faced with a shrinking market share and a protracted period of low revenues on top is one they will quickly pull out of by their own textbooks, which accidentally is exactly the environment at BRU and also what we're seeing them doing.

The LCCs can't make the money the want to make, that is quite clear. SN is a contributing factor, but certainly not the only one.Inquirer wrote: ↑21 Apr 2017, 09:19 Just checked the website of Easyjet and they only keep Switzerland and Nice as destinations then.

But from CRL rather than from BRU: they don't want to expand in BRU now.luchtzak wrote: ↑21 Apr 2017, 18:26Ryanair jumps in: https://www.aviation24.be/airlines/ryanair ... -brussels/Poiu wrote: ↑21 Apr 2017, 10:55The LCCs can't make the money the want to make, that is quite clear.
