Strange message that needs verification

Post by CaptainEd »

I recieved the following in my email from an old buddy, a fellow retired TWA Captain:

"Thetruth (so far) about
Flt. #68 AMS-BOM 8/23/06

Hello, here is an "updated" version of the events of the Bombay flight that
turned around. There are some changes from the first time I told it to a few
of you (Richard)...I will be careful when I fly there next week.
Franco sat in with the crew and FAMs (of the AMS-BOM flight that turned
around) at the hotel in AMS and heard everything: You will never believe it.
The youngest of the 12 men, age 19, (the media said ages between 25-35)
cracked during interrogations, vomited on himself, and confessed to coming
from an Al-Qaida TRAINING CAMP IN AFRICA! The media says they were all
coming from some vacation spot (I don't remember where).
Karen Birmingham watched 11 of them get up IMMEDIATELY after take off,
BEFORE the fasten seat belt sign announcement, and even before the green
light went on. They then started to individually spread out, and handed their
cell phones to the "head honcho," a Muslim with his little beanie hat on. They
had a total of 14 cell phones(???) He took his hat off, and started drawing black
lines on his forehead.................................
The FAM in 16B watched the entire thing, got up, and the fun began. I am too
tired to go into the rest.......
Anyway, it is all a bunch of horse crap what is being said by the media. Frank
has two Dutch newspapers with the entire incident in full detail. The sad and
sick thing is after the 12 were taken off the aircraft in handcuffs, NWA wanted
the crew to immediately close the plane up and work back to BOM. They were
NOT going to do a security sweep and THEY WERE GOING TO LEAVE THESE
FREAKS' BAGS in the belly of the aircraft and NOT PULL THEM...
Folks, this is the honest to God's truth...This is straight from the crew and the
FAMs...It's started to leak out. The crew told NWA they were not going to
Bombay, put them back up at the hotel, get full pay for the trip and Y1 passes
home to the States. Scheduling was actually trying to get them to work. Sick!
Please get this out, but keep me anonymous... It's eventually going to LEAK OUT.
I do know if the AFA has been notified."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have done a search for all aspects of this incident and came up empty. Perhaps a Dutch member here could enlighten me.
I'm a bit suspicious of all this. The statement by Karen "head honcho, a Muslim with his little beanie hat on. "
Do Muslims wear "beanies"? I think their traditional head gear is folded cloth, or the sort we see of the Saudian Prince' which are of the flowing type, hence the term used by their detractors "Ragheads".
I would like to see the names of these 19. Have they been divulged in the European newspapers? No names that I can find in the USA.
So, who wears "beanies"? Jewish men do.
Is that one in a series as this one:
The 9/11 Commission failed to inform us of a video, broadcast in the Arab world on 9/16/01, in which bin Laden states “I stress that I have not carried out this act”. Again, on 9/28/01, bin Laden said “I had no knowledge of these attacks. There exists a government within the government of the United States. That secret government must be asked as to who carried out the attacks.”
The Bush administration urged U.S. media to NOT broadcast these messages, arguing they might contain "secret instructions" to terrorist cells in the U.S.
However, they urged the media to broadcast a message from a video, released by the Pentagon in December 2001, in which bin Laden purportedly admits responsibility for the attacks. Was this really bin Laden? NO! (some say....)
Who to believe?
Something that not happened is difficult to prove.
Anyway: all lawyer will tell you: Deny, always deny (everything)
Something that happened is easier to prove, although it is not always easy to prove who did it.
And: Some ATM are covered with CCTV* cameras. Why not have this equipment installed on aircraft.
*The recordings would be stored like cockpit voices in a 'black box'
And why not link that then to Internet?
Then we all will see and hear what happened. If it happened.
I am amazed and once again happy the plane came back to AMS.
