BRU Winter 2024-2025: News, new routes, airlines

Post by Atlantis »

There will be some new Belgian economic missions with HRH Princess Astrid to Brazil from 22 - 29 November 2024.
In the first semester of 2025 there will be a mission to Los Angeles and San Francisco

Those are opportunities to keep an eye on.

Thanks to a discussion between De Croo and the Thai Prime Minister. Also, Thai passports will be more accessible in Europe.

I am happy if foreign big airlines come (back) to BRU.
If our princess and prime minister up can open doors so well for foreign airlines, why they do nothing to open doors for SN to fly more important business destinations ??

And they could also fly to FRA , or take ICE train to go and have a talk with Spohr and inform him that Belgian business people do not accept to be treated as second class PAX
who have to fly via via via to reach important cities. LH policy is really to drain all nice traffic from BRU.
A proud country should not accept this.

TUI will start flying from Brussels to Curacao as from the 5th November 2024.
The free space, after abandoning Cuba, will allow them to open this route twice a week with the B788

Hi, there is already an existing topic BRU Winter 2024-2025. Maybe you can move it there to avoid double topics

And regarding Thai it was already mentioned in that topic on the 4th February

Saw it too late, I'll have to wait for a moderator.
And yeah, it was never confirmed.

Officially not, but we knew it already that they were going to come with the A350. Talks were in a very far stage. Now the company has to come with the official announcement.

It was not clear now it is that's good news so his message made sense to confirm also with a time-frame.

Hainan Airlines is changing the frequenties from Shanghai to Brussels during Winter 24-25. Hainan will fly 3 weekly during Winter instead of 4 weekly during current Summer. Aircraft stays the same, B789

Apparently it also changes this summer from 4 to 3 (cf. Summer 2024 topic)

From this winter, Transavia will fly from Brussels Airport to Gran Canaria. In addition to existing routes such as Alicante and Tenerife in Spain and Faro in Portugal, Transavia will fly this winter from BRU to Thessaloniki in Greece, Bari in Italy and Marrakech in Morocco

+65% vs W23 (several frequency increases), only 2 fewer weekly flights vs S24.
