Doha – Brussels
eff 31MAR24 10 weekly service maintained, instead of previously filed 7. 787-8 operating
eff 01JUL24 Increase from 10 to 12 weekly
AFAIK, pre-COVID they were at 8 flights per week? Good to know they are again increasing!

But I think it used to be operated by 77W

A359/K were out due to the conflict with Airbus so it might be possible that the 788/789 were actually used on other routes and I think that the 77W were useful in COVID period to carry on pharma products.

You were talking pre-Covid, so I was answering pre-Covid. Qatar operated 777 to Brussels pre-Covid, A350 only came at the very end.

How awkward... A little bit of research gives :

Qatar Airways announces the use of an A350-900 Airbus aircraft for flights from Brussels to Doha from 27 October [2019]. The A350 had already been introduced on the route on 16 June 2017 but was used at irregular intervals.

A Boeing 777 is currently being used.

Also, typing 'qatar airways 777 brussels 2019' gives you plenty of proof ;)

Bah voyons

Indeed the 787s were used (2015-16?) before the introduction of A350s. But the belly capacity was useful in COVID times too.

Hainan will fly 4x to PVG this summer, however decrease to 3x is still planned next winter.

Which means there's no change compared to previous years, it always has been summer-seasonal.
I don't understand why this news only appears now as it is bookable since last June ?

The news re-appears now because Play has issued a fresh press release to announce the resumption of their seasonal flights. Most airlines are acting the same way, because they deem it necessary to remind people who might have forgotten.
