My messages reflect my personal opinion which may be different than yours. I beleive a forum is made to create a debate so I encourage people to express themselves, the way they want, with the ideas they want. I expect the same understanding in return.

Bad news for Liege Airport. Steven Verhasselt was the man who made the airport what it is now.

His name was also mentioned in the Nethys scandal which led to the dismissal of Luc Partoune, the former Liege Airport CEO. Could there be a link between those 2 events ?

It was mentioned indeed that Steven Verhasselt earned more than the maximum set by the Walloon Government for public servants, but I'm not sure that it is the main reason.

"Pinned also, Steven Verhassel, the" cargo man "of the airport - we owe him in particular the arrival of Alibaba in Liège: this director, the auditors are surprised, was not employed during the period covered by the audit but invoiced in the name of its consultancy company. For, according to Deloitte, a total of 634,334 euros between 2017 and 2019, to which must be added 560,060 euros of costs. A subcontracting which would not have been preceded by any call for tenders or call for applications, auditors note. A situation prohibited by the governance decree which entered into force in the spring of 2018, the Deloitte office reminded us in passing."
