TB1321 ANR - IBZ, diverted to PMI and an hour later hopped over to its final destination IBZ.
Both have probably one engine bleed system or one A/C pack inop, which limits the max ceiling to FL310. A bit low on spare parts, are we?
Strangely enough since it returned to ANR yesterday, OO-TEA has been doing all it's flight at FL300/310, instead of the usual FL370/380. Even more strange is that its sibling OO-JEB is having a similar problem since a couple of days and also restricting its ceiling to FL300/310.Diversions from around the globe (medical, technical, ...) 2021

LOT flight #LO3501 from Gdansk to Krakow (Dash 8-400 reg. SP-EQL) is declaring an emergency and returning to Gdansk.
EDIT: The Aviation Herald reports that engine 2 (PW150, right hand) had failed.

Finnair flight #AY9 from Helsinki to Chicago (Airbus A350-900 reg. OH-LWK) returned to Helsinki after turning around over Greenland. The reason for the return is not known. A quite long flight to nowhere!

Departed again from Bordeaux after one hour on the ground there = typical for a medical diversion.

Emirates flight #EK640 from Dubai (B777-300ER reg A6-EPT) is turning away from Kabul (understandably!) and may fly to an alternate airport or return home.
EDIT: Air India flight #AI243 from Delhi (A320neo reg VT-EXV) has for some time circled around Kabul, but eventually decided to land. Good luck to them!

Virgin Atlantic flight #VS77 from Manchester to Bridgetown (Boeing 787-9 reg. G-VNEW) ) diverted to London Heathrow (LHR) due to an "issue inflight". The plane was North of the Açores when it turned around and descended to FL100. More than likely a pressurisation issue given they descended to FL100.

Certainly possible, maybe likely by absolutely NOT more than likely.
There are several other abnormalities which require a descent.
Can we please stop jumping to false conclusions after every single diversion, please???

One AVH-reader writes: "...Currently at LHR hotel for flight to AUH tomorrow, Virgin passengers just arrived and said windscreen cracked. Their words not mine…"sn26567 wrote: ↑16 Aug 2021, 18:29 Virgin Atlantic flight #VS77 from Manchester to Bridgetown (Boeing 787-9 reg. By Aug 18th 2021, The Aviation Herald received multiple passenger reports (including one in the comments of its article) stating the crew indicated the outer pane of one of the windshields had shattered.

Which confirms your "more than likely" is incorrect, one more time.
In this case, the descent towards FL100 is made to AVOID a possible loss of pressurisation.
Re: Diversions from around the globe (medical, technical, ...) 2021
The original post didn't mention a loss of pressurisation, only a pressurisation issue, which this certainly is.

Re: Diversions from around the globe (medical, technical, ...) 2021
No. The issue is a cracked window, which could cause a pressurisation issue.
A cracked window does NOT systematically cause a pressurisation issue.
I'm aware I'm probably being a little too picky, but the image of your website/forum depends on the level of the information given by its mods/admins.
If you're happy with this kind of shortcuts or things like "it's probably this, it's probably that", it's all good for me too
Re: Diversions from around the globe (medical, technical, ...) 2021
Whether it was a reactionary or a precautionary measure, the reason for a descent to FL100 is in the vast majority of cases related to a (potential) pressurization issue. I don't think saying that a descent to FL100 is 'more than likely a pressurization issue' is taking a shortcut. Although a descent in general can be indicative of many different issues, not many other (potential) systems failures require descending to FL100.
Re: Diversions from around the globe (medical, technical, ...) 2021
True, but this is the perfect example of why NOT to say "this is most likely due to this kind of issue" before knowing the real cause.
In this case, it is not incorrect to say there was most likely NO problem with the pressurization...
So yes, it remains incorrect to me (but I understand it's not the case for non-professionals).

Emirates flight #EK219 (Boeing 777-300ER reg. A6-EQN) from Dubai to Orlando is diverting to Dublin due to a medical emergency after a U-turn over the Atlantic (does Lux_avi agree with the reason?).

No worries.
Looks like this website is not interested in accurate information from professionals.
Is there any more interesting forum about belgian aviation around?
