Excuse me, I didn't clarify enough.
Actually, it's Chinese charactors. In Japan and Korea, the most official language when to annouce the most important thing, people will use Chinese charactors. But, these charactors have their own pronounciation in Japanese languange.

Great pics! Also, Asia Sky Image Archives - when did that organisation originate and WHERE was the static display held? I flew with the JASDF in their P-2 Neptune aircraft out of MCAS Iwakuni, Japan and after four months of training received and was allowed to wear their aircrew wings - gold with a chrysanthemum (sp) in the center. I still have them. Also flew missions from Kadena, Futenma, Misawa, Osan, Clark, Anderson and Agana. Cheers & more pictures!
