Lufthansa Flies One-Time Boeing 747-8I Rio de Janeiro – Berlin World Cup Charter 14JUL14

Lufthansa today (14JUL14) is revising planned Boeing 747-8I extra service from Rio de Janeiro. The Star Alliance member previously planned to operate Rio de Janeiro – Frankfurt, however it has switched to Rio de Janeiro – Berlin Tegel – Frankfurt with following schedule.

It is expected that the German team will be on "Fanhansa" LH2014, like for the trip to Brazil.

Edit: confirmation. Sources says that the Deutsche Fußballnationalmannschaft will leave Rio de Janeiro-Galeão International Airport Monday evening and will land at Berlin Airport at 0915 CET (0715 UTC) on Tuesday. The flight will be performed by Lufthansa's D-ABYI. The plane is a Boeing 747-8i and will be labeled as DLH2014 on Flightradar24.
