Warsaw-CRL (Brussels) - Warsaw

Post by bartusek »

Hello my friends !

On 16th May I fly from WAW to CRL (W6 1381)
Back 19 th May W6 1382

Could you help me, please ?

1.Which transport should I choose for transfer from airport to Brussels ?
2. I need a SIM card with Internet (~250MB) I don't know Belgian phone operators. Which one should I choose ?
3. Which way to travel to the airport for Spotting is better - rent a bike or bus ?

In this thread in a few days there will be pictures from my trip :)

Big thanks for your help.

For 15 euro, BASE or Belgacom/Proximus will sell you a pre-paid SIM card with 250 MB + 90/120 min of calls and/or 300 SMS. It is possible to find cheaper (10 euro) but in specialised shops that you don't find at the airport.

From Charleroi airport to Brussels City or Brussels airport?
The easiest way from Charleroi airport to Brussels City (South railway Station) is the bus, every 30 minutes: http://www.charleroi-airport.com/en/pas ... index.html
From there you can take a train to Brussels Airport.

Again, do you mean CRL or BRU ? From the city, there are numerous ways to go to the BRU (Brussels Airport): train (the fastest), buses (the cheapest: De Lijn or STIB/MIVB). It all depends from where you depart.

I'm flying by Wizzair W6 1381 to CRL.

I'm talking about spotting on BRU ;) Many different airlines, which I don't have in Poland.
I 'll depart from "Vleurgat" stop.
My friends told me about good spotting place near touchdown zone on RWY 25L.

Thanks for all reply !

Hello

Bartusek take a look at this website: http://www.scramble.nl/airfield-guide/brussels
I think your friends ment Spotting point nr 15. This is indeed a great place for RWY07R departures or 25L arrivals.
But I think this spotting point is hard to reach by public transport.

In case you can't get there by public transport, you also have some good accesible places at the airport itself:
- Wingtips restaurant: Opens at 11am
- The roof of car parks.
- Close to Abelag (VIP aircraft are parked here), but you need a big stepladder to look above the wall.

Greetings,
All my posted timings are local !
