According to ch-aviation, Atlas Air is acquiring three 777 freighters leased by Guggenheim to an undisclosed European express freight carrier. Is TNT getting rid of its 777s?

The article states :
"all three twinjets are currently on long-term lease to an undisclosed European express carrier, (...) and have been acquired with the leases attached."
So if it's true, this would be only a financial deal between lessors, without impact on the current operator.

not too fast. The rumour about qatar is old. From the first flights in april i'd say.
And nothing is confirmed yet.

 If Mr Marcourt is putting his nose in DOHA, then game is over.
Remember:
"La guerre est une chose trop sérieuse pour être confiée aux militaires."
(Maréchal Georges Clémenceau)
I would paraphrase that today by saying that "business negotiations are too important to let them in political hands".
Akbar Al Baker is a hard nut to crack and seeing how JCM has been swallowed by Mittal, I have my doubts, if his want to be in the picture.
On top, this sort of political gimmick, just before elections time, is useless and even could parasite the work of the real negotiators.
