Good places to eat in the USA (and others)

Post by Bralo20 »

After the good places to eat in Belgium topic, a topic for the USA and other places (in the world), I'll start with some places I've visted during the past couple of years.

Las Vegas

Envy Steakhouse: http://www.envysteakhouse.com

Envy is my place to be whenever I'm in "town". It's most of the time my first restaurant to visit when I go to Vegas. Envy serves amazing delicious steaks... It may be a bit pricy (+50 USD may seem a bit expensive but it's worth every penny) but the food is amazing. It's a quite nice restaurant part of the Renaissance Las Vegas hotel and is just arround the corner of the convention center. The interior is quite lovely with the red chairs, brick wall, etc... If you want to go and eat be sure to book a table. The first time I visited the place me and my uncle just walked in and it was fully booked for the night. With some trick I finally got a table but better to be safe then sorry and order a table before you actually go there.

THE Steakhouse: http://www.circuscircus.com/dining/the_steakhouse.aspx

THE Steakhouse is located in Circus Circus, one of the hotels on the strip. While Circus Circus may not look appealing for many it is worth a visit to go and eat at THE Steakhouse. The Steakhouse is a bit cheaper then Envy but it has won several awards during the years. Steaks are delicious and certainly worth a visit. Same rule applies to this restaurant: better be safe then sorry and book a table, this restaurant can be busy.

Austin, Texas

Threadgill's: http://www.threadgills.com

Threadgill's is a quite famous place in Austin, it's a restaurant with a small music venue where a lot of famous musicians performed. Threadgill's is also know for it's lovely food.

County Line On The Lake: http://www.countyline.com/CountyLineLake.html

The County Line is a BBQ restaurant where one can eat lovely bbq food. You can take one kind of meat or you can just order a mix of all kinds of meat. The ribs, brisket, chicken, etc... is lovely. The county line serves simple, non-expension, delicious food.

Dallas, Texas

Pappadeaux: http://www.pappadeaux.com/location/?id=18

Pappadeaux is quite a large chain of cajun style restaurants which serves delicious seafood. If you ever want to try alligator for example (which taste quite nice), then this is your chance! Pappadeaux has lovely food, especially the seafood, and is a nice change for the regular steak restaurants.

That's it for now, I'll continue my list later ;)
