This morning, runway 25L was closed for a spectacular event. A 200kg WWII bomb that was found in the town of Evere yesterday, was dismantled by army specialists. As it was located right behind the airport, the runway was closed during this operation.

On closer inspection it turned out to be a Trent 900.

By the way: did they really explode the bomb? Or was it just a precautionary measure?
