Local time. In Zulu it is 15:35
Watch out with mixing abbreviations. If you don't know what they mean, I suggest you don't use them to avoid confusion

You are absolutely right: Z (Zulu) means GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) and Belgium is actually at GMT + 2.
The Luchtzak team apologises gor the confusion.

Explain pls :)
I was standing at the beginning of 25L. I thought it the 380 would land there (my mistake, I know). There were a lot of other spotter there, probably some other member of this forum as well. When the 747 spooled his engines, it was about 30 meters above the ground (my estimate). I thought it was a close call. A crash at that place would have killed the spotters, including myself. That was the idea of my joke... Pointless, I know...

Unlucky they didn't visit the website earlier to read that runway 25R would be used full length.

Maybe people like me that didn't have the time to read all posts and left in hurry to arrive exactly one minute before touchdown :? I called ATIS while enroute and heard 25L for arrivals. Lots of spotters there, so I thought I nailed the spot.

Apperantly not...

Don't be bothered, you will get other opportunities in the future!

Yesterday I heard something new. I don't believe but I thought it wasn't a bad idea to check it out with you guys...

I heard a fully loaded 380 can't land at nor take off from BRU since 25R and the tunnel underneath it would collapse under its weight... I'd find this very strange and unbelievable, but does anyone know something more about it?

These are my two best pictures of this fantastic big bird. I've taken pictures of tens of thousands "moving things" (trams, trains, buses), but airplanes are quite new to me. I think the Kalitta 747 is the only other bird that has passed through my lens until the A380 (and partially because of the great parallels with the trains driving just in front...), but I've got to admit that I tend to like it. Anyway, what I'm trying to say: don't be too hard. ;)

Unfortunately this forum doesn't accept the 900x600 pictures that I'm using nearly everywhere on the web, so I'll just give the links:

Picture 1 - Arrival at Steenokkerzeel

Picutre 2 - Departure, already high in the skies above Haren.
