There should be a system to take old machines who did not see a proper qualified engineer since ages out of the air.
Copied parts, second hand parts sold as new ones, so many issues.

" The Sudanese air fleet is outdated, and the government says spare parts are not available for the country's US-made aircraft due to economic sanctions imposed by Washington.

The United States, which has placed Khartoum on a blacklist of countries supporting terrorism, says the sanctions do not prevent the delivery of spare parts for aircraft if they are requested."

@ Regi

Please do not jump to conclusions.

You might be right for this crash but you also might be wrong.

It is possible to maintain a 40 years old airframe in the air without any safety issues.
I don't know the background of this company but they might be well maintained.

Anyway, it is a very sad end for those 6 people onboard. I hope they will rest in peace.

Old steam B707's needs a FE (Flight Engineer) as well.

Smart ass, right???

Some of the JT8D engine cowls were found at the end of the runway and loud bangs were heard from the ramp, looks like engine stall ...
